READ: 1 Corinthians 10:13 Saturday, 20th September 2008

Come to me all who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. [Mathew 11:28]

It is human nature that when troubles come, one loses all faith, courage and hope. It becomes beyond one’s capacity to believe that through troubles we receive God’s grace; Troubles and curses can turn into blessings. This is possible only through prayer and the Word of God.  But satan often discourages us from doing so. Daniel in the Old Testament got down to his knees and prayed three times a day in troubled times and received victory.(Daniel 6:10-11) The above reading tells us that God will not allow troubles that which are above our capacity to bear. Word of God says that we have to consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, so that we may not become weary and discouraged in our soul. We need to cast all our cares upon Him, for He cares for us. (1Peter 5:7) Once we cast our burden on the Lord and be righteous before Him, He will sustain us. He will never permit the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22) So today, be righteous and be free from all troubles.

Confession:
I am the apple of His eye. He has even counted the hair on my head. He has carved me on the palm of His hands. Amen.
