I always felt the lack of joy inside me and in my prayer I asked, “Lord, I am happy but not joyful, why is it so?” And, Lord explained to me through the Holy Spirit, You aren’t confident of my love towards you. Only then, will you be joyful in your heart. I realized I feared God, in every aspect of my life, BUT never relied on God’s love towards me. The stress and worries of life, was taking the joy away from my life. Though God has been with me from my youth, like the Israelites, I was constantly in fear and worry. God reminded me of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who were asked by the King to worship the God that he had made of gold, but because they refused to obey his command, they were thrown in the furnace which was heated seven times hotter than usual, but the King to his amazement saw, four men instead of three (unharmed) and one of them was the Lord Himself. Isn’t our God amazing and indeed loving? He’ll keep us unharmed in all our tribulations and this confidence got the Joy that I was seeking and it shall be the same with you.
