We are always concerned with our own well being. For the majority it is always “I, Me, Myself” Each one of us tries to protect oneself in the best manner possible. We accomplish this by erecting walls of pride, anger, muscle power, money power etc around us. All this so that we will not get hurt, not loose our prestige, our name, fame etc. We are so terrified by the thought of loss that we put on a façade and we will do anything to maintain it. When we loose self we gain Him. Unless we loose don’t loose our identity we cannot find His identity! If we want to live in the perfect will of God then we got to be willing to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice (Romans 12: 1-2). Abraham was ready to offer “Isaac” on the altar. Are you ready to offer those things that you hold dear to you? God does not want to kill your “Isaacs” but He wants to be number one in your life that is reason He wants you to give up your “Isaacs.”
