He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. (Proverbs 29:1)
Failures or problems are not the test of your integrity. That is only the first step- the nursery. The greatest test comes when you are really successful. Joseph’s own brothers cheated him, sold him and all his dreams were crushed. When he came to Potiphar’s house he became a successful man. His master’s wife wanted him for her. Joseph could have agreed as he was lonely; no one was there to give him love. But it was a test of his integrity. He was not afraid of his master but he was afraid of God. He was pressurised but he said, ‘I fear God” Joseph obeyed God but still had to go to the prison. But the same prison was the place from where he became a governor. Likewise there will be a place where your integrity will be tested. When you walk with integrity, everything will not be goody- goody. You will have enemies but God will be your friend. To live in integrity, follow the word. Rely on scripture. How to handle a situation when there is no specific scripture to match your situation? Think and ask your self, ‘What would Jesus do?’
